Like Gold Dust ! ( Magic Hot Chocolate Recipe )

Happy Monday !

So in Thursdays post I promised the cosy. wonderful, warmness of hot chocolate :) However, since it's Monday I thought we might all need something a lil bit stronger... so I added magic gold dust ^.^ I hope you like it , trust me this is the nicest thing everrrrr :)

The Nicest, Most Magical-ist Hot Chocolate Ever !

What You'll need :

  • 1 wonderful mug ( Mines a hopeful mug designed by Carrie Hope Fletcher, you can find them here )
  • A pack of chocolate chips , you'll need between 4 and 5 teaspoons of them depending on how rough your day was <3
  • A tub of ice cream ( Always Chocolate !! ... actually I bet this would taste pretty nice with toffee ice cream as well ) :)
  • A mugs worth of milk
  • Edible Gold glitter, although they don't tell you on the packet because it's a big secret so don't tell anyone ; it's actually fairy dust !!!! :D

Step 1 : Pop 4 teaspoons of chocolate chips into your mug and then add an extra one for smiles, luck, hope , any excuse you can find to justify chocolate really ;)

Step 2 : Fill the mug about one third the way up with milk and microwave for 1 minute and stir until all the chocolate has melted into the milk :)

Step 3 : fill the rest of the mug with milk and microwave for 2 more minutes :)

Step 4 : Add 2-4 scoops of ice cream and sprinkle with fairy dust  or as the government want us to think, "Edible Gold Glitter " aha ;)

And there it is ! The bestest, most magical-ist hot chocolate ever ! The ice cream cools the hot chocolate as it goes into your mputh and gives it the most gorgeous taste ever ! :)

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)

Check back on Thursday for this week top ten pins !

Don't forget to have a wonderful week even if the week refuses to be wonderful ^.^

Origami Hearts ( Valentines Day DIY #1 )

Hello lovely :)

It's 13 days until valentines day ! Some people don't like valentines day because they feel like it's all depressing when you're not in a relationship but I simply disagree. Partly because of the reasons expressed in Connor Manning's recent video which you can find here . But mostly because their are a lot of extremely nice chocolates around at this time of year and I'm not one to deprive myself a little pressie in the form of Thorntons ;) So for the next four posts I'm going to put up valentines day DIY's :) So In today's post I thought I'd show you how to make an origami heart love letter which  I've found is a really cute substitute for a valentines day card and is a lot cheaper <3

Origami Heart Love Letter <3

What you need :

All you you need is an A4 piece of paper and a pen to write your letter.... see what I mean about it being cheaper than a £5 card from Clinton's ;)

1) Take your A4 sheet and write whatever you want to say to your valentine/friend/loved family pet/anyone who's not having a great day . Now now fold your top right corner across to meet the the edge of the piece of paper and crease along the line with the edge of your nail before unfolding it :)

2) Repeat step 1 but this time fold from the top left corner :)

3) Take the two triangles on the left and right side of the paper and pull them together so that they meet each other in the middle .

4) Pinch the bottom of the fold and then press down from the top of the side of the fold and it should form a triangle ( Don't worry if this takes a few attempts I promise that you'll get it in the end )

5) Take the top layer of each of the sides of the triangle and fold them in to meet to top corner of the triangle <3

6) Fold both of the sides of the paper into the middle so they meet each other.

7) Turn the paper over so that the side without folds on is facing you :)

8) Fold the Bottom of the paper up to meet the line where the triangle shape begins

9) Fold the top layer of the triangle down to form a kind of envelope shape .

10) Fold the bottom corners into meet the centre line and then tuck them into the slots of the upside down folded triangle shape :)

11)  Fold each of the top corners in to make a triangle and tuck them into the folds across the heart and voila ! All ready to give to whoever you like :)

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)

I hope you enjoyed this post :) Keeping with the valentines day theme, leave your favourite pick up line in the comments !

Check back on Thursday for another valentines day DIY that's super yummy :)

.

Is the fact I just think this sounds super pretty not a good enough thing to say ? ... nah ;)

Grey Leggings with Floral Applique Cutout Lace // SO cUte!

I am definitely going to try making these this summer :) Seems pretty simple to make, just appliqué floral lace onto a hole that's cut out of some grey leggings and it would look super cute with a light floaty top in summer ^.^

take a deep breath...do the footwork to make repair and forgive yourself

Keep learning :)

I need this in my wallet so I can read it everyday!

All so true :) I especially think we'd all be happier if we focused on number 2 !

"Listen, are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?" –Mary Oliver

Ahhhh so many feellsssss ;)

I'm an unicorn<<<< omg i can see harry doing this with a carrot or a straw... anyone else see it?
I.... am also a unicorn :p

Pick Yourself Up - Love this, but my literal brain tells me the feet and belly button are facing the opposite direction to the arms and back of the head!!!

Important message .. but I'm slightly more distracted by the awesome orange carving skills , I feel I should be concerned by how much this amuses me ;)

Super cute idea! Maybe book pages instead of sheet music? Thinking cute idea for the girls music teacher at Christmas!

I can't believe this is sooo simple and sooo pretty at the same time ! Oh my gosh ... It's January and I'm now collecting Ideas for DIY Christmas pressies haha :)

Otters! Fact checked, they do indeed have a pouch in which they keep their favorite rock. (:

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I feel this quite concerningly , clarifies that in a previous life I was in fact an otter ... I'd love to be an otter :) To make it clear, I don't carry around a favourite rock but It is the sort of ridiculous thing that I know I'd do if it was socially acceptable ^.^

What's your favourite animal ? Please tell me that there's someone out there whos favourite is as obscure as mine .... anyone? ... please? ;)

Annnddd, On that note , I should probably go aha :) You can get positive pins and ottery otters all week long on my pinterest which you can follow here :) Check back Monday for my January Favourites post , I'd stoped doing favourites posts but this months I found some really cute things that I just HAD to share with you lot ^.^ So I'll see you then :)

Origami Bird Cage DIY :)

Heyy!

I've had a cold over the last week so I've been feeling pretty rubbishy but all better now :) Anyways I've been meaning to make this DIY but haven't had the time or the patience, but snuggled up in bed watching big bang theory on repeat I thought I might as well :) Pretty little things always make me feel better... well that and chocolate ice cream but don't worry, I had plenty of that as well ;) So here's my DIY Origami Bird Cage :)

DIY Origami Bird Cage !

What You'll Need :

  • 1 old book that you would otherwise bin or if you don't ave any you don't need any more just pick one up from a charity shop. It should be roughly 250 pages .
  • 1 Pencil
  • Scissors
  • 1 Pen ( I used a silver paint pen to make it shiny but what colour pen you want is up to you )
Step one : Pull the cover off your book and then tear off two pages and put them aside because you'll need them later ! And then break the spine of the book so that you can pull the front page                    round to touch the back , this will make things easier later :)

Step two : Take the top corner of the first page and fold this corner in to meet the spine of the book .

Step three : Fold the side opposite to the spine into meet the spine and press down along the fold to help it hold its place .

Step four : Turn this page over and repeat step two and three on the next page and the next ... and the next ( This takes a while so I did it whilst watching a film )

Step five : If you carry on with steps two, three and four until you finish the book then when you get to the end it should stay in place with a lil bit of fiddling because you're folding it in on itself :)

Step six : Put your origami birdcage aside for now and take the two pages you tore out earlier and using your pencil draw out any designs you want to stick onto your birdcage, in a different one I used an outline of a bird template ( I'm sure you'll find loads if you type it in Google images ) I did the word 'Believe' and two of those really simplistic 'w' shaped bird things because my drawing abilities are very similar to that of a five year olds aha :) Then go over your outline in a pen and cut them out carefully :)

Step 7 : Finally just stick them on to your birdcage with either double sided take or glue :) If you wanted to add a little sparkle then you could put glue along the top folds in the birdcage and sprinkle glitter over it, I'm definitely doing that next time !

And that's it ! :) Really easy, pretty and a great way to prove your patience .. or lack of it in my case ;)

If you make it then let me know how it goes in the comments or if you want more DIY's :) Check back throughout the week for the weekly top ten pins post but until then have a great week !

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)

Sending lots of hugs your way !

Easy Presents For Difficult People ! #3 Christmas Eve Box :)

Chuc Mung Giang Sinh !          #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

So this will be at least the third time I've spoken about how absolutely impossible men are to buy for .... but today I have a solution ! This would would work for nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, girlfriends or boyfriends or ANYONE ! Everything in these boxes is personal to who you're making them for :) I originally decided to make this for my boyfriend as a way to get him Pyjamas because everyone should have Pyjamas, they're the most amazing and important thing ever invented !!! :D Anywaayyyy .... back to the subject ;) So I've spent the last few months finding bits and bobs to put together his very own,

Christmas Eve Box !

What you will need :
  • Their favourite DVD or just a film that you know they will like ... or you would like to steal from them in the near future ;)
  • Their Favourite Chocolate
  • Their Favourite Popcorn
  • A box ( I bought this Batman one for £6.99 at The Works but I'm sure you can get cheaper ))
  • Their Favourite Pringles
  • Any sweets that they like ( I found a Harry Potter Chocolate frog with a wizard card )
  • Christmas Crackers
  • Candy Canes
  • Presents
  • Mini Santa Sack / Bag
  • Pyjamas
  • Christmas Card
  • Tinsel
  • Popcorn Holder ( £2.99 at Harkins Baazar )

1) Layer tinsel around the bottom of your box for the sparkly ness required in any Christmassy thing ! :)

2) Put the popcorn into the popcorn holder and arrange in the box with the DVD, PJ's, chocolates, crisps, sweets and any other little goodies that you think they might need for the perfect Christmas eve :) You could make a DIY Hot Chocolate kit and pop that in as well ! <3

3) Wrap your presents ( I chose very manly paper for my boyfriend as you can see ;) ) And pop them into the mini Santa sack and arrange them in the box :)

4) Sprinkle your box with crackers and candy canes, add your card ( don't forget to write it first ... I had to unwrap and re-wrap the whole thing three times because of forgetting to do things like that ! )

Now just pop the lid on and wrap the box up, try my " Always time for a bow - wrapping DIY " and give the recipient instructions to keep the box upright and that they can open it and have anything that's not wrapped on Christmas eve :)

Enjoy !

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)

Today's Merry Christmas is in Vietnamese , In Vietnam on Christmas Eve the Christians would attend a midnight Mass. After Church people would return to their homes for the most important meal the Christmas supper. The dinner usually consisted of chicken soup, and wealthier people ate turkey and Christmas Pudding.
