Otters and Appliqué :)

Hello :)

This weeks been a little hectic but there's always time to scroll through pinterest even when there's not time to do any maths homework .. not sure how but I guess you just have to prioritize in life right ? ;) So here's this weeks top ten pins :)

.

Is the fact I just think this sounds super pretty not a good enough thing to say ? ... nah ;)

Grey Leggings with Floral Applique Cutout Lace // SO cUte!

I am definitely going to try making these this summer :) Seems pretty simple to make, just appliqué floral lace onto a hole that's cut out of some grey leggings and it would look super cute with a light floaty top in summer ^.^

take a deep breath...do the footwork to make repair and forgive yourself

Keep learning :)

chibird: Introducing, pocket penguin! Everyone should have a...-made me smile ;) lovely pretty cute nice beautiful enjoy happy life love sweet heee cute smile smiles cute stuff

I'm really enjoying the penguin gifs right now ^.^ They're too adorable :)

I need this in my wallet so I can read it everyday!

All so true :) I especially think we'd all be happier if we focused on number 2 !

Ahhhh so many feellsssss ;)

I'm an unicorn<<<< omg i can see harry doing this with a carrot or a straw... anyone else see it?
I.... am also a unicorn :p

Pick Yourself Up - Love this, but my literal brain tells me the feet and belly button are facing the opposite direction to the arms and back of the head!!!

Important message .. but I'm slightly more distracted by the awesome orange carving skills , I feel I should be concerned by how much this amuses me ;)

Super cute idea! Maybe book pages instead of sheet music? Thinking cute idea for the girls music teacher at Christmas!

I can't believe this is sooo simple and sooo pretty at the same time ! Oh my gosh ... It's January and I'm now collecting Ideas for DIY Christmas pressies haha :)

Otters! Fact checked, they do indeed have a pouch in which they keep their favorite rock. (:

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I feel this quite concerningly , clarifies that in a previous life I was in fact an otter ... I'd love to be an otter :) To make it clear, I don't carry around a favourite rock but It is the sort of ridiculous thing that I know I'd do if it was socially acceptable ^.^

What's your favourite animal ? Please tell me that there's someone out there whos favourite is as obscure as mine .... anyone? ... please? ;)

Annnddd, On that note , I should probably go aha :) You can get positive pins and ottery otters all week long on my pinterest which you can follow here :) Check back Monday for my January Favourites post , I'd stoped doing favourites posts but this months I found some really cute things that I just HAD to share with you lot ^.^ So I'll see you then :)

Easy Gifts for Difficult People #2 ( Ice Cream Kit )

Feliz Navidad !                    #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

I really enjoy writing and doing DIY posts for this blog so today I'm delighted to post another DIY for my Blogmas mini series 'Easy Gifts For Difficult People' Today I made a ' Just add Ice cream kit ' because everyone loves Ice cream right ? But it always has to be chocolate flavour doesn't it ? If it's not chocolate then I don't want to know ;) Anywayyss this would do really well for anyone , family, friend and strangers a like :)

Just Add Ice Cream Kit !

What You'll need :
  • Ice cream waffle cones
  • Gold curling ribbon
  • Gold wrapping Box
  • Plastic Icing bag
  • Little Jam Jars ( 50p at Hobbycraft )
  • Ice cream sauce ( I used Chocolate and Toffee flavoured )
  • A Variety of Ice cream Sprinkles
  • Cellophane Bags
  • cellatape
  • Scissors
  • Basket/ Gift Box

1) That four of the waffle cones and put them into the icing bag, then tie a length of gold curling ribbon around the icing bag and curl the ribbons to erm .. make them curly aha :) Add more ribbons until it looks all pretty and add a bow to finish it off :) I also added a chalkboard label because I wanted to play with them .. and it looked cute :)

2) Next squeeze your toffee and chocolate sauce into the little jam jars ( Not both sauces into the same ones in case your as stupid as me ;) ) and pop them in the basket with the cones .

3) Take the cellophane bags and cut them in half. Take the part that still has the bottom bit of the bag in and pour some sprinkles into the mini bag :) Sellotape the top of the bag and then old the top over until you've got it folded down to the sprinkles and then sellotape the bag again just to make sure !

4) Repeat step 3 with the rest of your sprinkles :)

5) Finally just pop everything into the basket or gift box and it's as easy as that ! Perfect for anyone ... unless they're allergic to dairy ;)

Today's Merry Christmas is in Argentine, In Argentina after they toast on Christmas eve the adults dance whilst the children go out to see the fireworks :)

Gift Guide for Friends :)

God Jul                                     #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

Woooo go me! I'm now three days behind aha :) Sorry bout that, I've had a really good few day though but unfortunately I've been leaving the house as soon as I'm dressed and falling asleep as soon as I'm back so I had no time at all for writing . Today however I have the whole day to write, bake, smile, scroll through pinterest and visit my granddad later :)

Now, people seem to have a funny way of always fitting into one of three categories ;

  1.  Oh my gosh, yay ! This person has so many interests and will love anything that sparkles I know exactly what to get category !
  2. This persons kind of difficult but not that bad and I'm really grateful they've told me exactly what they want category :)
  3. Finally, the one we all dread , How do I know this person so well and have no idea what to get them ??? Somebody please help me! Why is everything so difficult !?!??! Category ;)

So today I thought I'd put together a selection of of gift ideas for the friends you are completely stumped on and with not very long to do till the big day are in need of some serious therapy ... retail therapy :)

The friend who's not your friend but you need to buy gifts for anyway ....

Honestly if you're completely lost on this one just find out what their favourite sweets are, pour them into a mason jar, tie a bit of ribbon around the lid in their favourite colour annnnnd VOILA ! Done . That way you haven't spent to much, and it looks pretty cute :) Also for this you could make a hot chocolate kit which I made for a DIY and you can find that here.

Boy Friends ( Notice the gap )

Your friends who are boys are a nightmare to buy for because the majority of the time you can't buy jewellery and they're probably sick of getting a box of chocolates each year lets be honest ;) You could get a CD but then there's the risk that someone else will buy it them or thy already have it ... men! They always have to be difficult ! ;)

Tonight Alive Lock & Key T Shirt (Black)You could get them a band top or something similar, Blue Banana has a good range ! If they're into music you could also get them a Ticket Master gift card so that they can make memories out of your gift or if they actually play an instrument you could get them accessories such as a guitar strap or books with songs in from their favourite artists :)  Failing everything,  a lot of boys would probably love a Netflix account ( You could make and pay for a 3 month membership ) for all their procrastinating needs !

Best Friends

Image of Snitch Bracelet

Image of Squirrel Necklace Yes,It is possible to know someone so well that you're left with no idea whatsoever to buy them because you're desperate for it to be right, funny, cute, not something they already have or someone else is getting them ... the simple response to wanting to not buy them something that somebody else has bought them, is to make it ! I found a really cute canvas on pinterest that you could adapt and make without to much trouble ! Which you can find here . Alternatively you could take them to pizza hut because who doesn't like pizza ? Apart from lactose intolerant friends ... don't take them to pizza hut .. or Cadbury world , death is a really rubbish birthday present ! On the bright side they'd probably never talk to you again so you wouldn't have to buy them a present next year ! ... silver linings ? ;) You could also pick them out some cute jewellery, Daisy-Mae Jewellery is a really lovely online jewellery stool with loads of variety and something to suit everyone ! :)

The Boyfriend ( No gap this time ;) )

You love them, but there's absolutely no way of denying that they are absolute pains in the behinds to buy for ! Answer ? Unless they tell you specifically what they want ( at which point your boyfriend is a god send, MARRY HIM ) then I've found it best to buy lots of little things that aren't massively expensive that I've spotted throughout the year :) Next Sunday/Monday I will be doing a DIY on how to make your boyfriend a Christmas eve box ( or anyone else ) which is a great way to pull together any little presents you've bought through the year :) However I think that anything personalised is super sweet :) Here you can find a site that personalises gifts really nicely, I had a guitar pick one which I think is such an awesome gift for anyone that plays :) Or you could do a fifty two reasons why I love you card set which I will add a link to once I have done the DIY .

I hope this has helped and that you have a lovely little shopping trip where you spend a little more than absolutely necessary on your three stops at Costa because their hot chocolates are sooooo good :)

Today's Merry Christmas is in Norwegian. One of Norway's most well know traditions is that every year there give a really big Christmas tree to the UK ( The one that is put up in Trafalgar Square that loads of people go to see that lights turned on ) to say " Thank you " for the help that the UK gave Norway during WW2 . Often in Norway their trees are decorated with "Julekurver" Which are little baskets that are filled with sweets and nuts and thought to be invented by Hans Christian Andersen and you can find instructions on how to make them here !

Buone Feste Natalizie             #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

I was delighted this morning to find two panda highlighters in my advent calender , it was almost enough to encourage me to start Re revision ! ... Almost ;) So recently I've re-discovered my love for Pinterest, the Procrastination Central for anyone, anywhere ! Whenever I'm in doubt, boredom, in need of a laugh or creative inspiration, that little search bar of possibility magically transforms into a gateway to my haven of fandoms, handmade gifts and everything in between !

Pinterest is my all time favourite place to search for DIY gift ideas and cute room decor, especially at christmas ... all year round :) So today I thought I'd share my top ten christmassy pins for this year :) Comment your favourites !

We made these in 2013 , it is very easy you just need tip-ex and a jar. If you get plain brown rapping paper to rap up all your prezzies then you can decorate it - Robyn xx

This little jar is so sweet and easy, I love the idea of using tip ex for this effect! I'm definitely going to make this perhaps even as a gift and and some glitter to the tipex before it dries :) This would me cute with a tea light in !

Doctor Who snowflake patterns, designs from laurelgarver.blog...

WHOFLAKES !!! Christmas simply isn't Christmas without the Doctor Who Christmas Special , so I couldn't leave my favourite snowflakes out could I ? These snowflakes take both of my favourite things and stick them into one, all in the Christmas spirit ! What's not to love ? :)

For today's Merry Christmas is in Italian, The Christmas season in Italy goes for three weeks, starting 8 days before Christmas known as the Novena. During this period, children go from house to house reciting Christmas poems and singing ! This sounds awesome, I love carol singing :)

Easy Gifts For Difficult People DIY #1 ( Hot Chocolate !! )

Shinnen omedeto. Kurisumasu Omedeto
#It'sSnowingInMyBubble

I Know this post should;ve been up yesterday which was the 5th, but I have a good excuse I promise ! :) I went to see War of The Worlds at the LG arena ... and Carrie Hope Fletcher was in it and oh my gosh, it was so so wonderful :D But it was one am when I got home so I imagine anything I wrote in that sleepy a state probably could of had me put me into an insanity asylum ! ;) But I will talk more about War of the Worlds, in Sundays post :)

So today I wanted to talk to you about the start of a new mini series I'm going to do over my Blogmas 'It'sSnowingInMyBubble' Month called " Easy Gifts for Difficult People " . Now, we all know those people who we really want to get a cool, cute gift that they will like, enjoy and actually use ... but they're impossible to buy for and they're usually male so you can't buy them jewellery or you just have no clue what they'd want. In this series I'm going to show you some easy gifts to make or buy that would be adored by anyone and even if you don't know one of these unintentionally awkward people then perhaps make a few bits and bobs up, ready, just in case someone unexpected gives you a gift :) Today I made a hot chocolate in a Jar kit ... with a cute twist ;)

Hot Chocolate Kit

What You'll Need :

  • Marshmallows !! :D ( 99p in the 99p store )
  • Hot Chocolate Powder ( I used Cadburys and despite the misleading £1.99 label, It was actually only 99p in the 99p Store)
  • Edible Food Ink Pens ( I bought mine for £3.00 each In hobby craft, in shades Dusty Pink and Jet Black )
  • Mason Jars ( 3 for £3.50 in Asda )

Firstly, Tip your hot chocolate powder into you mason jar so that it's filled about half way up :) I recommend using a spoon to avoid tipping more of your hot chocolate powder onto your table and bedroom floor than into the jar ... not that I did that .... ;)

Now, pop your Mason Jars to one side and take your Marshmallows and Edible Food Pens and with you black one, draw two little eyes on one of the circle sides of your marshmallow ( I drew mine like little arrows )

Next add a little mouth , still in the black :)

And obviously rosy cheeks are a necessity for the cuteness of any marshmallow ....

Cuteness overload yet ?

So all we have to do now is follow the same steps for the rest of the marshmallows :) Here's some different Ideas for the faces ;

It's a marshmallow family !! Just like in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Two :)

Finally, just arrange your marshmallows in your mason Jar and VIOLA ! A sweet gift for anyone :) Perhaps add a ribbon and tie it into a bow, PERFECT ! :)

I hope you liked this DIY , Let me know in the comments if you have made it, or have any other ideas for this mini series :) If you have a blog at all and have done any recent christmassy DIY posts then comment the links because I would love to have a look ! :)

Today's Merry Christmas was in Japanese , and although only 1 percent of Japanese people believe in Christ they often still celebrate Christmas and in my opinion in a far more beautiful, valuable and hopeful way :) Among the Christian Japanese Christmas is not a day for the family. They do not have turkey or plum pudding, rather than that the day is spent doing nice things for others especially those who are sick in hospitals <3
