Cinnamon Spice !

Joyeux Noel !                         #it'ssnowinginmybubble!

Ahhhh ! Christmas is getting closer !! :D ... I mean, it's only one day closer but it's still closer all the same :) Today in my Advent calender bags I got some chocolate and a super cute reindeer cookie cutter which i might do a DIY with soon :)

But for today, I thought I would use the cupcake cases in yesterdays advent calender bag from my sister to make cupcakes , but I wanted them to be Christmassy so I decided to make mincemeat cupcakes with a Cinnamon frosting ... and sprinkles, because everyone loves sprinkles, right ? :) Considering the amount of improvising, recipe changing and mis-measurements of cinnamon that this bake involved ... it turned out surprisingly okay aha :) So I thought I'd share the recipe with you :) If you try it out then please let me know how it goes in the comments how it goes or if there's anything else you'd like to see in blogmas :)

Mincemeat Cupcakes with Cinnamon Frosting <3

If you want to see how I made and decorated the Reindeer
biscuits the comment down below and I'll do another DIY :)
Ingredients

For the cakes :

200g Caster Sugar
200g Self-raising Flour
200g Margarine
4 Large Eggs
200g of mincemeat ( I used my mums handmade mincemeat but any from a shop just do )

For the Cinnamon Frosting :

100g Butter
250g Icing Sugar
Ground Cinnamon

Pre-heat the oven to 180 Degrees :)

Recipe :

1) Weigh out all your ingredients to make sure you have everything and are all ready :)

2) Put the Caster Sugar, Self-Raising Flour, and Margarine into a bowl, and then crack the eggs on the side of a separate cup or bowl and break the egg into the cup so that any bits of shell can be fished out before they get all mixed up with your wonderful cupcakes :)

3) Whisk the eggs with a fork until they're light and fluffy. Then stir your eggs in with your flour, margarine and sugar in you get a creamy mixture :) I usually disprove of the all in one method but just this once I thought we could make an allowance because it makes this quick and easy, perfect for little christmassy treats for your friends or to make with someone you love :)

4) Now it's time to add the mincemeat... and stir :)

5) Annnnddd Viola ! There's your cake mix :) Now you just need to like your cake tin with some christmassy cupcake cases like these...

6) Fill each cupcake case up with bout a dessert spoon of cake mixture and pop it in the oven <3

7) Whilst the cakes are cooking, you can make the frosting :) Weigh out the Icing sugar and sieve in into a bowl and then melt your butter slightly before adding that with your Icing sugar and mixing and then adding cinnamon to taste and mix it all together :)

8) Take your cupcakes out of the oven when they are risen, golden brown and you springy :) If you put a knife through one it should come out clean :) Once cooked, leave them on a cooling tray before decorating wit cinnamon frosting and sprinkles :)

9) Discreetly leave the kitchen as your mum arrives home and go to your friends house, leaving your mum a cupcake as a thank you pressie for tidying up your mess :)

10) ENJOY ! :D

Did you know, in France In France, a Nativity crib is often used to help decorate the house. French cribs have clay figures in them, not wooden ones. During December, some towns and cities such as Marseilles have fairs that sell Nativity figures. As well as having the normal Nativity figures in them, French scenes also have figures such as a Butcher, a Baker, a Policeman and a Priest.

It's Snowing in my Bubble !!! :D

Fröhliche Weihnachten!

That means, 'Merry Christmas' in German :) Now you might be thinking, "why are you saying happy Christmas, in German ... do you even speak German ? " The answer is no, I don't speak German at all, however I've decided to take part, like many over bloggers, in blogmas :) For those who don't know what that is, it means I'll be posting, everyday up until Christmas on the 25th of December :) Yep, that's right ! Now we're into December and counting down the days, our little positivity bubble of happiness is filling with snow, tinsel and fairy lights until our little corner of the internet, more represents a snow globe than a bubble :) But it's still very happy in here all the same :)

But why German ? Well I've decided that every day of blogmas, we could learn another way to say merry Christmas and at the bottom of each post, in stead of a quote there's going to be a Christmas tradition or fact about that country :) That way, we can spread the Christmas cheer around the whole world ... well at maybe one extra person in a another country but I don't want to be under ambitious ;)  So today I decided to start with German because my sister has recently moved to Germany and she came home to visit this weekend and bought her own variation of an advent calender for me and my mum where she put little presents in numbered paper bags :) Today it was an adorable chocolate teddy bear and some cute Christmas cupcake cases which I will be using in tomorrows DIY Mincemeat cupcakes with cinnamon frosting :)

In Germany, On the night of December 5th-6th, Nikolaustag, St. Nicholas Day, children leave their shoes or boots outside the front door. That night, Santa Claus, Nikolaus, visits and fills them with chocolates, oranges and nuts if they’ve been good.

Have a lovely day :)

What advent caleneders do you have ? Let me know in the comments :)
