January Favourites 2015

Happy Monday !!!

I haven't done a favourites in a while and I'm not sure this is gong to be monthly again but we'll just see what happens ^.^ But this month I fancied it and felt like I had something to say so I thought I'd show you pretty and wonderful things that I found whilst procrastinating away my weekends throughout the new year because hey ! who needs to leave the house when you have big bang theory ? ;)

Tv Show !

On the subject of The Big Bang Theory .... why was I not made aware of this amazingly, hilarious, perfection that I have fallen in love with, before the beginning of this month when it has been around since 2007 !!?! I literally schedule when big bang theory is on, into my day ... yes it's got that bad ! ;) In case you're interested as to how I balance my social life with my numerous obsessions, I don't :) 

Shop !

This month for the first time ever I bought a box from Carries Book Club which was great and had these super cute Peter Pan nail stickers in . So I looked up the website she'd bought them off and I discovered 'House of Wonderland' and just like that all my Christmas money was gone ! So here's my three favourite items that I found :) 

These Peter Pan and Wendy silhouette earring's make me really happy ! I love themmmmmm :D 

  

Happy Thoughts pencils :D I think these should be essentials in every person pencil case :) 

No . No , No, No ! I can' t deal with this level of cuteness ! Ahhhh I think I'm gonna die ! I need, I need , I need ^.^

Clothes !

I've been looking for a cute jumper just to laze around in whilst watching big bang theory and playing ukulele and all the other things that cool kids like me do ;) So when I found this Harry Potter Jumper reading 'You're Lucky I'm Not Allowed to Use Magic Outside Of Hogwarts' ...you can find it here :) 

Book ! 

For Christmas my boyfriends parents gave me a voucher for waterstones, I was extremely happy ... my best friend who I made sit in waterstones with me while I went through pretty much every single book in there, well she wasn't so happy ;) I bought a book called ' The Art Of Being Normal' By Lisa Williamson, just on the off chance that it looked nice and had a well designed cover :) But I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it ! The story line follows a transgender boy called David and the new boy at school called Leo and follows them both as they try to avoid any form of attention but slowly discover each others secrets and between them go to hell and back, laugh a lot and make you cry a lil bit ! 'The Art of Being Normal ' was really well written and I will definitely read any more books that Lisa Williamson writes in the future :)

Ruby Day is a really talented singer and her original music is well written and very sweet :) Recently she released an album on itunes so if you like her music then I'm sure she'd appreciate any support because she really deserves it :) This is her cover or 'Peter' 

Accessories ! 

I wear a bow now, bows are cool ;) I bought a black bow from new look for £4.00  and haven't stopped wearing it, especially on the top of my pony tail :) 

Food !

Costa have brought out an addorable Banoffee tartlet which I'm am ever so slightly a lot addicted to ! They are soooo good ! They also do a pecan one and a rhubarb and custard one :) 

So that's all for this months favourites but I've found it's been a really good month and I'm looking forward to next month and hopefully some valentines day DIY's :)

:) August Favourites

Good Afternoon :D

Hope that your day has been marvellous :) If not I hope you find a way to make it so <3  I have grown to love writing my monthly favourites blogs because it's a few hours when I'm purely focusing on the good things that happened through the month and I know I have to find them no matter how rubbish the month has been and it honestly makes me feel a whole lot better :) So here is my August favourites :

Cinema :)

This month my favourite film that I've seen at the Cinema was The Inbetweeners Movie 2 :) I love the InBetweeners and I was ecstatic when I found out that they were making a second movie . I really enjoyed the first movie however I didn't think it was as good as the series meanwhile the second movie was fantastic ! Me and my sister were dying with laughter whilst eating our Ben and Jerry's ice cream ... They make Smores Ice cream now ! How awesome is that ? :D I accidentally dropped me spoon in the cinema but my sister was an absolute babe and gave me hers <3 Anyways back to the film; In this movie the boys set off to Australia to find Jay who has told them a urm, rather fanciful version of his currant living and working arrangements ... and girls ;) Nothing unusual there then hehe :) The mischievous young adults head off re-united on a road trip and well ... when you've finished rolling on the floor laughing I'm sure you'll agree that it's a errm... eventful adventure to say the least ;) Must see film ! If you've seen it then let me know your thoughts In the comments.

Books :)

The Little Beach Street Bakery By Jenny Colgan was a wonderfully heart-warming tale  :) It took me a long time to read because I could never find time to read but I went on holiday and finished it in a day , I just couldn't put it down <3 The protagonist ( Polly) moves away after becoming bankrupt, leaving behind her husband Chris and everything she's ever known . But who needs a husband when you has friendly fishermen, a sweet american bee-keeper and most importantly Neil :) An addorable little puffin who befriends Polly and flutters around her with his ruffled feathers, standing by her and nibbling at the crumbs of her delicious homemade bread when she has no one else on the issolated little village which becomes her home and her happiness <3 A truly uplifting story of loss, love, bakery's and Puffins :) What's not to like ? 

As I mentioned in a Smiley Sunday post, I have started to read the Harry Potter books . Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone by the incredibly talented J.K.Rowling was everything everyone ever said it was <3 If I'm honest I thought that I wasn't going to enjoy reading the Harry Potter Series but with every page I was pulled further and further into the magical wizard world of Harry Potter and I loved every moment ! I can't 
believe how much I enjoyed the book ! It was perfectly written and I read it within a day . If you are putting off reading the Harry Potter series or have convinced yourself it's not your thing then un-convince yourself and give it a go because I'm sure you will love it as much as I did :) 

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets also by J.K.Rowling lived up to the expectations set by the first book and then proceeded to surpass them by massive amounts :) I feel like there's really not any point in summing up the storyline because if you don't know the story line of Harry Potter I think you might need to go outside darling hehe ;) But I can't wait to read the 3rd book ( Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban ) I feel like there's going to be a lot of Harry potter related blog posts coming up :)

The Reckless and the Brave by All Time Low is an amazing song that you can sing along to at any time and instantly feel good and like you can take on the world <3 There needs to be more songs like this because not enough people are being told to go for their dreams :) 

Clothing :) 

This month I have discovered a wonderful charity which I would really like to talk more about in another blog post called " To Write Love On Her Arms "   which does amazing work helping people  whom are struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. They have a store and you should definitely check it out ( you can find it here ) I love the top's in the store because I think they look good and have fantastic messages on , I'm ordering one as soon as I 
have some money :) This is my favourite of their tops, and it reads : "You'll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living, breathing screaming invitation to believe better things."

I have been Reading KimJadeLouise  for a while now and I love her blog and more people should know about it :) I especially love her DIY posts like the floral bun wraps but her DIY: Book to Diary/Notebook post with great :) She's creative, a talented artist and an awesome writer so if you get time then please check her out <3

I discovered this YouTuber on the first of August and have been dying to tell you about her ever since :) RibbonsMakeBows is a wonderful young woman who's just graduated and has been making awesome videos through her university life :) If you have issues with body confidence or being happy then I can't think of a better place for you to go to <3 

Finally , Here are my five good things that have happened this month :) 

1. I went on holiday and swam in the sea :D Yayyy <3 
2. Everyone in Ireland was really friendly and smiled back . 
3. I went to see Wicked at the theatre OH MY GOSH It was so so so good :D
4. The New Doctors first episode was great and I saw it on the big screen <3 There was a girl wearing a Fez !!!!!
5. New School Year = New Stationary ... lots and lots and lots of new stationary :) I think I might do a stationary haul if you're interested to show you all my new stuff because I seriously need to get this excitement out of my system aha I mean they're just pens ... but they're coloured revision pens ! Arghhh :D

Smiley Sundays - #100happydays day 72 -78

Good Afternoon my beautiful friend :)

As a direct result of my holiday throwing me off schedule, feeling rubbishy all week and being lazy and confused without school days to keep me knowing when I need to write and post ... this is my first ever smiley Sunday  post that has actually been posted on a Sunday.... and its a week late :') I'm so sorry please don't hate me it's just I have so many idea in my head ( mainly christmassy ones ) and the fact that I have to write this when I want to write them just puts me off doing this despite how much I love it when I'm doing it :) So this is the Smiley Sunday post from the week I was on holiday in Ireland where the people are ever so friendly to the point where I feel like I might actually belong there ... no seriously ! They smile back :D

#100happydays : day 72 ( Monday )

Where I belong <3 

Nothing that has to be done, A five minute walk to a beach of sapphire seas lapping at the golden sands and a day in your holiday home with your sister and her boyfriend who hasn't been in the sea in years ( honestly I think he was more excited that me ! ) . What else would you do than throw on your favourite summer dress over your swimming costume and run into the sea .... before running back out again immediately ... WAIT WHAT ! That's not what happens on the beach on the movies ? Oh wait the movies an't set in freezing cold Ireland ;) Regardless we edged back in inch by inch , dodging seaweed and believe me that's difficult because despite what you may think there's quite a lot of seaweed in the sea aha :) I just so happen to have a phobia of seaweed and a love of swimming in the sea -_- typical ;) Never the less from the moment I started swimming I couldn't stop smiling, ever part of me wanted to be a mermaid like Ariel and stay there forever ! Meanwhile every part of my sisters feet went blue so no longer able to ignore her moaning we left the sea for a while to let my wuss of a sister recover her normal colour because apparently she didn't like being blue ( a bit racist to the Smurf's don't you think ? ;) ten minutes later she announced that she'd realised the water had made the colour of her shoes run and dye her feet blue ... and then it started to rain so we went back home and had a lovely warm shower. However funny it was the highlight of my day had to be unleashing my inner mermaid in the icy cold sea's and it couldn't have been more worth the cold I had for the rest of the week ;)

#100happydays : day 73 ( Tuesday )

:o    No. Words. Needed.

Time to explore the local ( well not so local I guess it was an hour away but still worth it ) town :) Today me, my sister and her boyfriend went to look around a town and it was great :) We found that the Irish have all the same shops as us they just change the names  :) We went to 'Dealz' which is " part of the Poundland family " where everything was $ 1.49 ... apart from the things that weren't in which case they cost .. well anything aha :') We also found  'Penney's ' which is " part of the Primark family "  ... are you beginning to see what I mean about changing names aha ;) Despite this I did buy a Batman Top from 'Penney's' . However I feel the most important thing to tell you is as follows : I FOUND A CHOCOLATE CAFE !!!!!!!!! This is the best discovery ever and I would like to know why we don't have ' Lily O'brians Chocolate Cafe ' In England  :D I had the most amazing banoffee pie there ! Mmmm just thinking about it makes my mouth water , it was absolutely delicious ! But most importantly , the sign outside said " Hot Chocolate Stop " This made my day .. I think we should start a campaign for the well-being of all Brit's " Hot Chocolate Stops throughout England " to compensate us for the freezing, stormy weather that lashes out at us on a daily basis aha ;)

#100happydays : Day 74 ( Wednesday )

Another day at the beach ! Woo :D After we froze every part of us and someone's dog ( We have no idea who owns this dog ) Seemed to attach itself to us so he came for a swim too ( he kept bringing me rocks and every time I fell over in the sea he swam out to check that I was alright so I named him ...*Dramatic Drum Roll ! * ..... " Rocky The Lifedog " :) I like names aha ) We headed home and drank hot chocolate whilst reading my book . I've always wanted to read the harry potter books and I don't know why I never have because I am a massive fan ( Woooo Hufflepuff ;) ) I went to the Harry Potter studios and wrote a post about it which you can find here <3  and ever since I have been determined to read the Series of books :) Today I finished " Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone " I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would and would happily spend the rest of my life curled up in an oversized hoodie, drinking hot chocolate, listening to BriBry's music and reading Harry Potter .. and sometimes when I'm feeling particularly like being the wreck less teenager you all know I am ... I might add marshmallows to that hot chocolate ;)

#100happydays : day 75 ( Thursday )

It's a long story why she's called Beep Beep aha :) 

This morning I was feeling a less than fantastic but my friend sent me a really cute text that made me smile and you should never underestimate the power of a smile because it picked me back up again <3 So with my smile back in tact we went to look around one of the ships that's transported Emigrants from Ireland to America during the famine and it was really interesting however me being me , my favourite part was when I got to ring the ships bell which is meant to give you good luck :) I hope it does <3 Take every wish and good luck token you are offered because although they may not be responsible for your fate, they may give you the belief to pursue it :) You have everything you need to be the amazing human I already know you have the power to be, You just have to find the button that lets you realise what I already know is inside you .. but trust me it's beautiful <3



#100happydays : day 76 ( Friday )

Today we went to look around another town and we I bought a really cute mug and a patch for my boyfriends bag with the Irish Flag on ( It will look good next to all the slipknot and other metal music ones don't you think ? ;) ) I'm beginning to notice how everything in Ireland has to be labelled Irish as if just in case it was an English pepper and we'd poisend it aha ;) No joke they actually labeled to peppers Irish pepper, there were Irish Tic Tac's, "Irish Pride" bread, the list could go on forever aha but it made me happy everytime I looked at food . However the highlight of my day came when I realised that post box's here are GREEN ! I have no idea why it makes me so happy, but it honestly does :) I guess it really is the little things, eh . :)


#100happydays : day 77 ( Saturday )

Struggling to eat with those annoying
wooden spoon things aha :) 

Home time :( Today we're leaving the lovely Irish folk who smile back for the sarcastic Brit's who look at me like I've punched them in the face when I say " Have a nice day " But I guess I have the memories to keep me warm and smiling aha :) I love travelling and although most people get bored I love spending 6 hours in the car just listening to music... plus I got a Ben and Jerry's ice cream on the ferry :) Woo aha <3 When I got home I watched Carrie Hope Fletcher's most recent video and It made me cry and get very emotional . I wrote a blog whilst I was feeling emotional which you can find here :)  I have no idea what I wrote, only that I was very tired and it probably made no sense.. I also don't want to know so I will leave it there for you in case you're interested in what me head comes up with when I'm too emotional to function :)

Wooo I get to see my boyfriend today for the first time in what seems like forever ( that made me think of frozen :D ) Cuddles and Guitar hero on easy level for the very first time made me a very happy girl :) Couldn't of been happier to be back where I belong , with my friends because I love them to much to be anywhere they're not <3 I can't wait for Monday so I can see my best friend again :D But this was a wonderful week away and I think everyone should go to Ireland because it's awesome :)

#100happydays: day 46 ( Really, Really Small Things )

Well hello there gorgeous :)

Can I just say that you are looking particularly wonderful today ... wow. Seriously you look stunning <3 I'm sorry this is a day late, like I mentioned, my laptop is broken making it very difficult to write daily because well I need a laptop to write aha :) I also felt a bit rubbish after a series of bad events within the twenty-four hours that made me one to curl up into a little ball and stay in bed all day .. we've all been there left missing someone so much it hurts but I knew there still had to be good things even if they were so small that they were miniscule they had to be there :) So I made a quick list because a) I like lists and b) to force yourself to find things that are good is the best way to find them so here we go :

1) I saw this picture on Facebook and it made me smile ... smiling's good so this has to be a good thing :)

2) I worked with the lovely woman I talked about in my last blog ( You can find it here :)  all day :)

3) My sister said I could use her laptop whilst she was in Germany so I have a laptop for two days <3

4) One of the people I was working with gave me a freddo ( I don't actually like Cadbury's ) but it made me smile anyway and I ate it regardless because well ... it's chocolate aha :) So that's todays #100happydays photo ... yeah I ate it before I could remember to take a photo aha, sorry bout that ;)  

 

 

5) I started writing a new song and I feel like it's going well :)

 

 

Actually I feel a lot better now I've started thinking of good things by just looking closer at the day I can see even more good things like the way I felt better after a long phone call with my boyfriend :) However it is okay not to be okay for a while because unless we take a little bit of time to let ourselves take things in and let ourselves be a bit down, it will all build up and be twenty times worse and way harder to pick yourself up <3 So If you're feeling a little or a lottle bit rubbish take some time out for you , allow yourself to spend a day eating chocolate and feeling sorry for yourself but make sure at the end of the day you can still list five good things because otherwise you might (not lose your spark) but forget how to relight it again and we wouldn't want that would we ;) But no matter how rubbish you feel remember that it s going to be okay <3 I don't know how long it's going to take but it will be okay you just need to Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :) I pinkie promise you that .

 



Anyways I'm going to go now because I want to right today's blog because I'm not going to lie, today went ALOT better and I'm feeling way happier and I really don't want sad stuff on here :) This is our happy bubble for me and you <3

#100happydays: day 42 ( Shop, Shop, Shop, Shopping :) )

Hii :)

 

How are you ? I hope you're doing well :) As you can probably guess buy the title , I've been shopping today so I thought I'd show you some of the things I bought and some that I found and didn't buy but hopefully will one day when I have money aha because I like being nosy ... so I'll assume you do too and well if you don't my bad :) Unfortunately I can't show you some of my favourite purchases because they are presents for my friends birthday next week and she reads my blog posts because she's awesome aha but if anyone's interested then let me know in the comments and I will post about the presents I got her after her birthday :)

 

So Firstly I found a lovely shop called LIV Furniture full of lots of lovely little ( and big) things with cute retro and vintage feels to them :) My favourite thing that I found is a Travel Journal that I will link to here <3 It's just one of those things that you see and instantly fall in love with :) However one thing that was slightly less gorgeous about it was the price ;) At £19.99 I couldn't really justify buying it but at some point I hope to travel and I'm praying this pretty little book will still be waiting for me :)

After this, I went on to my favourite vintage shop which stocks everything from 1940 style clothes with their fabulous floral patterns to necklaces with stunning pocket watches which I have loved since I first saw them ( I've often bought them as gifts and I actually have no idea why I have never bought one for myself )The shop is called Aspire and I will link to their website here :)  Here are a few of my finds :

 

I loved this little tag on the back of a travel wallet :) I realise it's very difficult to read, so I shall type it here because it made me smile and you too, deserve to smile :

 Next on my list was a trip to boots because I needed new foundation and I was low on primer :) I'm not a beauty blogger so I can't give you much but my opinions ... sorry bout that aha :) But I thought I'd try out a new foundation so I  bought " Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse" I must say so far it's really good :) I got it in the lightest shade because I'm the palest person you could ever wish to meet ( If you ever feel bad about your lack of tan, feel free to come and stand next to me and I guarantee that you will feel like your from the Bahamas aha ;) ) It gives great coverage and is really good if you suffer from oily skin :) I also bought a new primer that I have had before (also by Maybelline) I love primers and am always on the look out for ones that keep me make up in place all day because I really don't have the time to re-apply my make up throughout the day and "Maybelline Baby Skin " primer is fantastic for doing just that :) I'm sorry I can't say more on them but I really am useless at saying anything about make up other than " well it was good I guess " ;)
 
Onto Clothing I bought two new tops , both from Newlook :) One for work experience next week and one because Harry Potters amazing and I'm slightly obsessed aha <3 See if you can tell which is which ;)

Finally for some crafty stuff I stopped at The Works because everything's cheap there and I have no money aha :) I bought a make your own Dream catcher for 99p , Some cute letters to decorate for 99p and a book of origami projects for £1.99 .... see what I mean by cheap aha :)

 

 

 

Oh wait my bad ,that wasn't finally aha woops anyways after that I went to Paperchase to get some origami paper but I also bought a cute organiser which I fell min love with and at only £8 I couldn't just leave it there could I ?So I brought it home with me :)

#100happydays: day 14 ( I have a Pygmy Puff)

Heyyy :) 

Today I went to the Harry Potter studio tour in London and it my AMAZING :) I had such a great time and I highly recommend going if you ever get them chance because seeing all the sets and props is simply magical ... an well the gift shop is literally a potter head's haven  :)

As a result of my trip to the gift shop ... my hour long, really could have happily stayed there longer just in the gift shop ;) I bought a purple pygmy puff. 

Everyone ; meet Alaska ( If anyone is wondering then yes she is named after Alaska out of John Green's fantastic book Looking for Alaska) 

 Isn't she just the cutest little thing :) I saw her and the pink ones on the shelf and fell in love with all of them however I could only have one :( I choose a purple one for two reasons :

1) In the book Ginny's Pygmy Puff Arnold is purple ( They change it to pink in the film ) 

2) Carrie Hope Fletcher has a purple one :) I'm aware this is a pathetic reason however it is still a reason and by now you should probably of realised that my love for Carrie is Uncontrollable ;) 

So today's #100happydays photo is my new Pygmy Puff to represent the great day out I just had ... and my love for colourful fluffy things ;) I also decided today that I am for the Hufflepuff house and am proud :) I'd love to hear what house your in and why so feel free to comment your house and your favourite of the films/books because I'm interested :) My favourite of the films is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire I think it's got a good story line as can be said for all of them aha and it's not got scary yet ( which is kind of an essential for me ;) ) 

I also found some awesome Harry potter merchandise on Etsy I might do an Etsy haul at some point because pretty handmade things make me happy .. let me know if that's something you'd like to see :) I loved the Time turner necklace which you can get versions of ridiculously cheap on Etsy and I really liked the Golden snitch necklace. I don't have many necklaces but I really like them so I'm definitely going to start buying more of them :) 

If your interested in positive quotes , fitness and pretty little things ( I've basically just re-worded the blog title there ) So if you're here because you like the stuff I'm talking about then if you wanted to have a look at my pinterest then I spend lots of time procrastinating on there and finding cute merchandise I like mainly off Etsy and work outs and stuff ... damn these descriptions are getting worse and worse ;)

Little Hopeful

Over the Summer I'm going to try and read all of the Harry Potter series because I'm really interested and feel like I should considering my obsession with it ... I know, I know; it's really bad that I haven't already read them but I'm going to sort that asap :) It's just there's so many books I want to read .. there's probably enough time to do so only I want to read them all ... right now . 

I know this is a little different to my normal style, I  don't usually just talk about my day but I hope you enjoyed it all the same  :) I thought for today a Harry Potter quote would be fitting :) I rather like this one on yesterdays subject of laughter making you feel better ... #100happydays: day 13

Happy Friday 13th :)

13 is Taylor Swift's lucky number ... This isn't what I'm mean to be talking bout haha  :)

Today I had my last exam of the year woooo :D Now I can spend time procrastinating for hours without worrying about failing everything ;) Considering I just had a maths exam you'd think my head would be full of stuff about maths when actually I'm just dying to tell you this fact :

A Fear of tree's is called dendrophobia... I looked it up whilst re-watching the 3rd Lord of the Rings I'm not entirely sure what made it relevant ;) I just thought I'd let you know :)

It's pretty late now and I'm very excited because tomorrow I'm going to the Harry Potter studio's with my boyfriend an his family ... being me i am very very happy about this :) I love car journeys because I can just fit there and read in peace and quiet for hours. I'm hoping to either read One Million Lovely Letters by Jodi Ann Bickley or re-read The Fault in our Stars by John Green before the film comes out next week ... That's another thing i can't wait for :)

Today's #100happydays is a a picture of the field 
as  shown in the above picture which I found covered in daisy's ... daisy chains make me extremely happy :) They're nice to look at, fun to make and i don't know they are simply pretty little things that make me smile  ... do they really need reasons to make me happy because if you always need a reason to be happy then it's quite likely you will have a few more moments when your not happy and why on earth would you want to waste moments when they're so precious :) Anyway's we sat on this field ( hence my friends feet being in the picture), made daisy chains, laughed with each other as we painted our nails and ate a picnic of strawberry laces :) I love picnics I might do a blog of my ideal picnic and try to make it happen as a surprise for my friends I think that would be a nice random act of kindness and we all know how I feel about those ;) My favourite moments are the one's where I laugh. Me and my boyfriend spent a large part of our evening watching YouTube video's and laughing uncontrollably at Danisnotonfire and Sprinkleofglitter whom's videos together left us struggling to breath in the most perfect way... because we were laughing to much with smiles that would remain imprinted on our faces for hours :) If you need a good laugh check out their Prank calls video I guarantee it will cheer you up no matter how you feel :) That's another idea I'd like to do for a blog; what to do when your sad with not just things to cheer you up but things to help sort out why you were sad :) Lets see if we can fix a few broken smiles eh :)
