Random Acts Of Kindness

Spraasnikam !                     #It'sSnowingInMyBubbleXx

13 Amazing Random Acts of Kindness To Make You Recover your Faith in Humanity (acts of kindness, faith in humanity) - ODDEE
A thoughtful random act of kindness that
I found somebody had done on Pinterest :)
Last week I wrote a post called 'All That Jazz' Which I recommend you read before this one if you want a bit of heart warming human goodness to inspire you to actually do something, something simple that somehow matters so so much, to make someone smile before Christmas <3 In that post I said that I'd like to do a post based about random acts of kindness, I might do a few of these with different ideas every now and again to see if together we could maybe sprinkle a lil bit of happy glitter over some strangers ( To make it clear, although glitter makes people happy, I do not recommend or in courage sprinkling it onto strangers because they might punch you in the face, the previous sentence was metaphorical... just in case someone is as easily distracted by the word glitter as me I had to say that to prevent any broken noses ;) )

So here are five random acts of Kindness that you could easily do ( Some without spending anything and some with so there's something whatever your financial state because kindness that doesn't cost the giver anything is just as valuable, never forget that <3

1) Leave a hopeful note somewhere, anywhere you like! Write something nice on a post it note, leave it somewhere for a stranger to find and although you might not see it I guarantee it will make them smile :) I have been promising a post of hopeful notes for ages but now I've got two weeks off, I'll definitely get it done ! I do take about the hopefuls and what it means to be a hopeful in this most here , I would really appreciate it if you took a look, that post means a lot to me :)

2) Tell a stranger in the que that you like her dress :) You might feel weird and like they'll think you're strange, but as long as you say it sincerely then they'll appreciate it and feel much more confident for the rest of the day :) You could also do this at the checkout by said you like the shop assistants hair or anything like that <3

3) Cook, bake or make something for a friend or family member that's not feeling great or just to add something to their day and remind them that you love them . We all assume people know we love them and maybe they do but everyone likes and needs a little reminder or your care every now and then !

4) Leave money ( £1-£2 ) , or just your change in the change part of a sweetie vending machine so that someone can buy themselves something :) I always remember as a kid always checking the change bit incase anyone had forgot , or for any sweets that accidentally got left in those machines you get in shopping centres or pubs where you put 20p in and turn the handle to make sweets come out ! You could buy some of those and leave them for a kid to find :)

5) If a friend feeling rubbishy or had a bad day and you're having one of those nights where you cant sleep, write that friend a paragraph once they've gone to sleep and text it them to wake to :) Whenever I've done this I'm always told that it's made their day and that in turn makes mine <3

If you have any other Ideas or try any of these out then comment and let me know, I might include them if I do another of these posts :) I'm going to set a challenge for you to go out and do one of these Random acts of kindness for someone within a week of reading this post so readyyyyy , get settt , GO !!!! ;)

I have a pinterest with a aboard where I pin any random acts of kindness Ideas I see so for more ideas you can follow that board which I'll link to here :)

Today's Merry Christmas was in Alutiiq Alaskan , In Alaska the children wander from house to house with a coloured star on a pole, singing Christmas carols !

ALL THAT JAZZ !

Vrolijk Kerstfeest                #It'sSnowingInMyBubble!

I'm sorrryyyyyyyyy ! I know this post is late ( again ) But I had one of those nights last night where I just wanted to play guitar and finish writing a song .. and maybe watch Waterloo Road , but don't tell anyone that's our secret ;) STOP JUDGING ME !!! ... okay I deserve to be judged aha ;)

Anyways, at first glance you might not see this post as christmassy. At first thought, neither did I . But now I realise, nothing could be more christmassy ( annddd  yes, that is a word I discussed it with a lovely girl in the comments on a Christmas tag I did and we both agreed so that makes it official .. I think you'll find that the Oxford dictionary values our opinions highly ;) ) especially too any hopefuls reading this because this is essential what being a hopeful is and when my mum told me this story sat there beaming and making that noise you make when you see a REALLLY cute kitten ... no ? just me then ? okay ... well that's awkward .

So, my mum is a headteacher and she was telling me how in the staff room at work someone ( no one knows who it is ) Left a bag of Jazzles ( you know those really nice like chocolate buttons with rainbow sprinkles on top for added smiles ? yeah those ! )  in the staff room with a note saying " Please take one and if it makes you happy then pass the bag on " .... think about it ... keep thinking .. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ANYTHING MORE HOPEFUL OTHER THAN CARRIE HOPE FLETCHER HERSELF !?!! Okay so maybe I'm slightly over excited but kindness and strangers are two things that should mix way more than we as a society let them, whether someone knows who is being kind to them is irrelevant, their smile afterwards isn't. In fact perhaps it even has more worth coming from a stranger :) That bag of Jazzles probably cost whoever started this awesome random act of kindness about £1 ... It wasn't costly or difficult or self rewarding .It was, to put it simply; Just rather lovely :)

The term " Goodwill to all men " is familiar to all of us around the Christmas season, this story is that saying in an act and I for one found it completely heart warming :) I know I decided to do the Christmas traditions from different countries each day instead of a quote, during the #It'sSnowingMyBubble series but I saw a quote in the new Cinderella trailer that fitted too much for me not to include it ... so you're getting an extra you lucky thing ;)

"Where there is kindness, there is goodness. And where there is goodness, there is magic ! "

If you would like me to do a post of random acts of kindness Ideas then let me know in the comments because I would LOVE to do more hopeful orientated things on this blog !

Today's merry Christmas was in Dutch . In Holland, farmers blow long horns at every sunset over waterfalls ( to make the sound loud )  in the Christmas period to announce the coming of Christmas ! If I ever got my hands on one of these long horns I feel like my family might ship me to Australia let a lone Holland , before we even got to December 2nd !

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :) Stay Kind ^.^

Lots of Christmas love ,

The Hopefuls :)

Heyyyyy :)

Today I would like to talk about The Hopefuls :) I frequently talk about the hopefuls, hopeful notes and Carrie Hope Fletcher on this blog, mainly because it has, over the last year ; become a massive part of my life <3 Many big YouTuber's have followers which are a fandom but the hopeful's are more of a lifestyle choice in which they choose to spread kindness, positivity and love to strangers and any individual that needs it, which in my opinion is everyone because everyone no matter what should be shown kindness because kindness is a reflection of you not the recipient <3 Around a year ago I discovered Carrie Hope Fletcher's YouTube channel, ItsWayPastMyBedTime . As a direct result I discovered a kind, compassionate young woman who's loving words were enough to inspire every person who watched her video's and to make them believe in their dreams deemed 'unachievable', once more :) That person was and is Carrie Hope Fletcher .

The Hopefuls are widely recognised as Carrie's followers . We are Mainly named so after her middle name 'Hope' but I and many other hopeful's think there is a lot more to it than that . There is no set definition of what or who the Hopeful's are but I asked hopefuls of the hopeful forum ( more on that later ) and from replies it's clear to see it means something different to every individual hopeful but it couldn't be more the same . For me, the hopefuls are people who are trying to show the same compassion to strangers and everyone around them as they have seen Carrie do and they are hopeful for a better, more positive, loving and accepting society as a result of that . It's clear to see that from projects such as the " Things I'll never say " and " The Hopeful Notes" All we want is kindness, happiness and a better world .

hopeful
ˈhəʊpfʊl,-f(ə)l/
adjective
  1. 1.
feeling or inspiring optimism about a future event.
    "a hopeful sign"
synonyms:optimistic, full of hope, confident, positive, buoyant, sanguine, bullish, cheerful,
assured, expectant, anticipative, disposed to look on the bright side; More

noun
  1. 1.
a person likely or hoping to succeed
  1. "promotion hopefuls Huddersfield"

Above is the definition of Hopeful I found when I typed it into Google . As I mentioned previously every hopeful defines it differently, but here's my definition :

The Hopefuls

  1. Followers of Carrie Hope Fletcher spreading kindness as inspired by her projecting happiness and never-ending optimism about the future and pursuing her dreams .
  2. A group of people hopeful to change the world for better with kindness without one leader but a group of friends ; Carrie is not a leader but part of us , she also wants to spread happiness just like us .
  3. Hopefuls are pirates at sea with the world at their feet sailing on waves made of stars. Whom take only sadness from the ships of people passing by. On their travels, however long or difficult their own voyage is, they sprinkle a shimmering glitter into the dark ocean . It may not be much but Hopefuls a happy with the thought that maybe, just maybe ; it might be enough to give hope to those lost at sea <3
One of my favourite things about the hopefuls is how lovely and supportive they are as a community <3 You only have to read a few threads on the hopeful forum and you will see the love and kindness they project . I've never seen such a entirely un-judgemental group on the internet :) If you ever need support or advice just go to the hopeful forum because I promise they will do their best and will make you feel so so welcome <3

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :) Stay Hopeful ^-^
( My best friend laughed at me when I called that last one 'the cute little internet face thingy-ma-bob' hehe

Carrie Hope Fletcher has changed me and my life for the better <3 I have been inspired to be a better happier person and she pressed that button inside me that reminded me that I can achieve my dreams . You can do anything however impossible it seems... I mean anyone can do the possible, so where's the fun in that ? :) I've never been happier than I am right now, despite all the problems I'm facing. I am determined to stay hopeful because nothing makes me happier than watching a stranger pick up a hopeful note that I left and knowing that maybe just maybe it might be enough to give hope to those lost at
sea <3

#100happydays: day 36 ( happy and hopeful)

Good evening :)

How are you all ? I hope you're good because you deserve to be happy and if you are , work that smile because you look absolutely incredible when you smile . I promise <3 if you're not feeling so good then I'm really sorry that you're not feeling great and I hope things get better soon but would u do me a favour and try work that smile ? just a little one for me honey ? It might make you feel a lil bit better <3 If you need a hand with that smile then here's a silly llama to help you out ;)

Oh and lots of big hugs because hugs are awesome !  :)

I spent most of today running around town with my friend , covering every place we could find in hopeful notes and eating about four McDonald's and one Costa in total... woo healthy living ....kind of ;) Oh well I'd rather be happy with a slice of cake than slim with a lettuce leaf ( unless you like lettuce and you're getting slim purely for you and doing it healthily ... in which case good for you :) ) I don't really want to talk to much about hopeful notes because I want to do a whole blog post about them at some point in the future with what they are, what they are for , why they are such an amazing project , what to write on them and where to put them :) Basically all the the things I wish someone would've told me <3 The hopeful notes project means a lot to me and is a massive part of my life so I want to write that post when I have time to put the amount of effort and information I really want to be in it but I'm hoping to get it up as soon as possible :) If you want to know more about " The hopeful notes " you can find Carrie Hope Fletcher's Video about it here :) This picture of one of our many McDonald's is today's #100happydays photo because it represents the part which isn't my favourite part of hopeful notes but is the most creative , I really like writing to the strangers who receive the hopeful notes because I really enjoy putting the words I wish I could tell everyone on earth to make them smile into a few sentences and every single one I make different :) I never like to stick up a hopeful note that says the same as another on that day because every person is special and an individual who deserves so much and at the very least words just for them <3

Today's quote is one from Carrie Hope Fletcher as the hopeful notes are her idea :)

" Things haven't always been this bad, Therefore they won't always be this bad "

Life has a way of making it look like it's throwing us off course but actually this wrong turn might take you to the right destination <3 You're going to be okay . Trust me :)
Just Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)
Try leaving a hopeful note for someone , If you brighten someone's day then a little bit of the sunshine might just splash on to your day too :)

#100happydays: day 35 ( Post it Note Picnics )

Good Afternoon :)

Late again I know , I'm sorry I'm just really exhausted at the minute with it being the end of the school years and posting everyday ... oh well only a week left to go until work experience :)

Today's 100happydays is a picture little picnic/buffet thing that me and my best friend made for my mum and sister to cheer them up :) We even arranged the mini homemade quiches in the shape of a smiley face aha :) I can already guess what you're thinking and I completely agree ... NO ONE LIKES QUICHES . I actually hate quiches and I think there disgusting but my best friend insists otherwise.... silly girl ;) nah I love her really I don't know what I'd do without her... straighteners haha :) Anyways I made it as colourful as possible and put cheerful quotes all around the food , unfortunately it was after I took the photo but oh well :) I also made one of my lemon drizzle cakes ( I put the recipe here :) ... and lots of other lemony things aha ) To tell my family to go to the room with the buffet in I left post it notes on the front door saying "Go to the dining room", "Happy Saturday" and "Everyday is special" because it's true, life is an amazing thing !  When you think about it; every second is precious let a lone how special everyday is :) <3 I really enjoy doing random acts of kindness because they don't only make the recipient feel good but they also make you feel good :) Who wouldn't want to make someone smile ? after all, smiling's good ;) Everyone's important and everyone deserves to be happy <3

I found a website with loads of awesome idea's for random acts of kindness which I will link to here :) Check it out and comment any ideas you like for random acts of kindness <3

Bye for now :)

#100happydays : day 31 ( Gift's from the heart )

heyyy :)

I'm so tired ... I know I say that on a pretty much permanent basis now but I am truly exhausted so this is actually going to be short and I'm sorry about that however I will try and make tomorrow's better :) I'm also considering doing a June favourites soon because I like finding pretty little things that make me smile . However right now ... I need sleep but I couldn't just not post because I love you all lots and don't want to let you done on your daily fix of confusing, cheerful and quite frankly completely irrelevant to anything rambling :)

Today has been nice :) I got up , went to school and then came home to see my boyfriend and spent the evening watching YouTube cuddled up with him :) There were however two things in my day that stood out and really made me smile and to be honest I can't really pick which is today's #100happydays ... so I'll leave that to you and your lovely opinions :)

Firstly , when I got on the bus this morning my best friend handed me a small purple bag with little slightly metallic gold flowers on and said it was from her nan ( whom I made a lemon drizzle cake for last week when she was sad ... you can find out how to make that here :) ) I opened up this cute little bag to find a gorgeous bracelet that I simply loved :) It's a style that I really enjoy wearing and just makes me feel happy and smiley so that's got to be good right ? After all.. Smiling's good ;) Tiny sparkly beads  that were my favourite shade of green ... you know that sort of mystic forest colour ? well that one :) With three little sliver Bambi charms ( I call deer's Bambi's .. I think it's just a habit I picked up from my mum when I was little)  what could be better ? I'm so grateful and it really made me smile whilst reminding my of a lot of styles I actually love to wear but had forgotten about :) So a massive thank you to this amazing, thoughtful woman who I don't just see as my best friends nan but as a friend ... and kind of a bit like my nan too :)

Secondly  :) As I mentioned previously ; my boyfriend came round and I often talk about hopeful notes ( I might do a whole post on them if anyone's interested ? ) well I often end up dragging my poor boyfriend round town while I essentially as my mum calls it " litter the streets and shops" however if I am littering the only thing I'm leaving behind is hopefully a smile and I can't see how that is particularly a bad thing :) Anyway my boyfriend surprise surprise isn't a hopeful but he did leave me what was technically a mini hopeful note which really made me smile just because well random acts of kindness always do <3 So I stuck it on my wall of stuff and gave him a big hug because hugs are also important :) I think little things like hugs to sad friends and hello's to strangers can make a big difference and it doesn't cause you any harm so why not ? :) Anyways it just made me realise how happy I'm actually beginning to be at the minute and that love and feeling loved is important ... Not necessarily by a boyfriend just by a friend or even a stranger and this just made me want to write even more hopeful notes aha :) Seriously peoples just try and make someone's day a little brighter it doesn't have to be big ... I saw on The Hopeful Forum that one girl found a hopeful note in a library book that she had taken out on a day when she happened to be feeling rather crappy but this tiny note that probably took a random kind stranger about 10 seconds to write made her day and allowed her to feel a whole lot better knowing there was such kindness in the world :) Pick your friend up a chocolate bar on the way to school or make them a small piece of origami with a note on to slip into their bag .. You might save their day :) I know I've written a lot of things I might write about today already but a post on different ideas for random acts of kindness is also a possibility :) I like having a world of endless possibilities .. that way we can choose where were going with it :) This is your world and your life so Impact on it how you would like :) In my opinion you should try and leave a smile behind <3

#100happydays : day 29 ( Festival Fun 3)

Festival Fun day 2

Today was the final day at the festival ( you can find my previous two blogs about the festival here for day 1 :)  and here for day 2 <3 ) As we all know the final day of camping always means the dreaded putting the sleeping bag back into it's little bag ... needless to say this didn't go very well for me aha God knows how it even got in there originally ;)

I went to the little shop on the site before we left to get some Haribo Rainbow Twists because they're AMAZING ! I love the Haribo vegetarian range it's the only thing where I actually prefer the vegetarian version to the normal one because I don't actually like normal Haribo's at all :) Anyway as I went to the counter the man serving me out out politeness and because it's just what you say I guess:
" hello, how are you ? "
And when I replied with " I'm good thank you , how are you ? " He looked so shocked it was un-believably and he literally stuttered half of " Umm I'm good .. thanks for asking " I then saw him smile and that made me so so happy and once I'd ordered my rainbow twists as I thanked him and was walking away he shouted " Have a nice day!" after me and I only just about managed to say " You Too " through my uncontrollable :) This seems small and insignificant but it made my day because it made him smile by something as small as an unexpected return of caring .. I've decided from now on I'm always going to ask shop workers how they are because everyone's important and everyone deserves someone to care :)

I Also had my first ever pinkie promise with another hopeful when the lovely girl I met left the camp to go home and that made me so happy to meet other people who want to spread positivity :)

I know this quote is really simple but I love it because of how much truth it holds:

#100happydays: day 26 ( I'm in Love : One Million Lovely Letters )

Good evening :)

Tomorrow I'm leaving to go send the weekend at a festival that is organised by a youth group I'm in so this for once is actually going to be a short post when I say it is ;) I don't know what it is but the minute I write short post , it triggers a thousand different idea's in my head that are just desperate to be translated into words and weaved into some sort of morals within a blog that ends up being a 3000 word essay by the time I'm done ... I just love writing :) I mean I definitely don't have time to write hence why I write in my sleeping time but there is no denying that I love it unconditionally :)

Another woman who loves writing is one whom I have written about before in this blog; Jodi Ann Bickley :) If you want to read me explaining more about her and her project One Million lovely Letters , the you can  find that blog post here :) However today I would like to talk about her book of which I am about one third of the way through and it is quite honestly breathtaking . I'm not going to lie , usually I dislike reading auto biography's. I often get bored and they simply don't keep my attention but One Million Lovely Letters has captivated me in a way I  believe no book has ever done before. I was enthralled by the un-dying kindness of her mother and her words and use of language was enchanting . This is a truly inspirational book ... and I haven't even finished :) Frequently I disagree with the kindly short reviews of fellow writers and newspapers on the front cover of the book and feel they are over exaggerated to sell the book which is of course there overall purpose . However in One Million Lovely Letters I now realise that I couldn't agree more with Ed Sheeran when he states "It's a fantastic book, from a fantastic wordsmith. " I deeply recommend you read this book at the first chance you get and I sincerely hope you get as much out of it as I am :) Today's #100happydays picture is a picture of the book from my lunch hour which I spent reading it with a 7up which my friend bought me randomly which was really nice of him :) and my post it notes and a pen :) I actually started putting post it notes on the pages wherever Ms. Bickley really took my breath to the point where I was left wonder struck and had to stop for several minutes to process the utter compassion and awe I felt for what I had just read ... and just me this happened a lot you can barely read the book for post it notes aha ;)

“We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.”
—Charlie Chaplin
Finally because of the festival that I spoke about at the beginning of this blog , I will not be able to post until sunday due to being in a field with no internet access and a lot of spiders :/ However I will write my blogs on paper and and I will probably do one big blog on Sunday with all three of those days #100happydays pictures in and a big long blog :)
Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)
I hope you have a lovely weekend , remember that you're beautful and amazing because it's true and I would be very upset if you forgot <3 Try out something new this weekend even if it's just a new meal or booking a class for something you've always wanted to learn and let me know about it in the comments :)

#100happydays: day 25 ( Sheepish Socks and Lemony Lemons... Recipe time ;) )

Hellooooo :)

My new socks being modelled by me and
my best friends feet :) Aren't they just simply
fabulous ;)
I hope your all feeling good :) Following the events of yesterday ( you can read about that here ) I'm still in a very good mood :)  I can feel this blog post is destined to be a bit on the long side so I better get started if that's all good with you ? Well I hope it is because I'm going to start anyway because you are in the future in accordance to when I'm writing this which is in my present therefore you couldn't of given me an answer in the time space I had ... Actually in the time I just spent waffling I probably could've composed a reasonable introduction aha :) Anyway's firstly, I just want to get the important thing out of the way so I can move on to what I actually planned to do this blog about :) My awesome dad bought me some sheep socks as a kind of well done present for getting to be a prefect at school ! I love socks so much :D So today my #100happydays photo is a picture of my new socks :) When I got home I found my new socks had sparked a thought in my brain .. That life long, burning question that I was certain no one knew the answer to; where did socks come from ? So being me I decided science coursework could wait, I was determined to find out  the answer so that I could make all your lives better because that's what you wanted to know when you clicked on this blog right ? ... right ? guys come on admit it ;) no ? oh okay then ... I'm going to tell you anyway because it made me smile so it might make you smile and as I always say ; Smiling's good :)  I found the answer to our prayers when I came across a website dedicated to socks where you can read the entire history of socks .. You probably don't want to which is fair enough because well it's about socks and you probably have a social life or something but for the rest of us ( so probably just me aha ) you can find the website called Lonely Sock here :)

Right now on to what I wanted to talk about :) The other day after some very unfortunate events my best friends nan was feeling very rightly sad so I decided that I wanted to give her at least a small smile so I've bought her a bouquet of flowers and made her a Lemon Drizzle cake :) Mmm lemon drizzle cake is probably my favourite just the sweet sugar and the sour lemony goodness colliding into one gorgeous taste sensation in your mouth and .. seriously how that cake is still whole I actually don't know aha ;) So especially for you, I present without no further a do ... Lemon drizzle a la bubble ;)

Recipe : Lemon Drizzle a la bubble

Ingredient's
  • 2 eggs
  • 4oz (110g) of caster sugar
  • 4oz (110g) of margarine
  • 4oz (110g) of self raising flour
  • 1 table spoon of milk
  • 2-3 un-waxed lemons
  • a lil bit of extra sugar for sprinkling :)
  • and now some more sugar for stuff .. about 2 table spoons probably aha
Equitment
  • Mixing bowl
  • Two mugs
  • A Spoon ( I don't really know if that counts as equitment .. but you need it aha :) )
  • A loaf tin
  • A loaf tin liner ( if you don't have one don't worry just rub some margarine around the tin to grease it up )
  • A Whisk
  • A fork
  • Zester/ cheese grater
This should make one Lemon Drizzle Loaf cake :) I actually got confused when writing down the ingredient's because I made two earlier and apparently dividing by two at midnight is very difficult for someone like me aha ;)

Before you start you should probably set your oven to preheat to 180 degrees because your smart so probably would like to do that bit before you actually start transferring the mixture into tins and realise baking requires an oven .. its been a long day okay aha ;)

  1. Cream your sugar and margarine until the mixture has a white sheen to it :) If you want to make it extra fluffy then spend an extra few minutes after you get the white sheen hand whisking the mixture ... I always do this because it gives me more time to eat the mixture aha ;)
  2. Carefully break both your eggs into a mug so that if you do accidentally get some shell in it then you've not ruined your mixture :) I find this helpful when not trying to poison my family because I'm actually quite fond of them .. sometimes ;) Then whisk the eggs with a fork until they're light and fluffy ( that's what my mum always used to tell me ... I don't really see how an egg can be light and fluffy but she's a wise woman so I'll take her word for it )
  3. Add your egg a lil bit at a time to your mixture and whisk thoroughly to insure the mixture doesn't curdle :)
  4. Sift in the self raising flour and stir it into the mixture then whisk until it's fully combined and smooth ( it tastes really good at this point ;) )
  5. Use your cheese graters zesting side to take the zest off 2 lemons and then add it two the cake mixture and stir :)
  6. Line or grease your loaf tin and add in the cake mixture then put your loaf tin filled with cake mixture into the oven ... smells so good :)
  7. Lick the bowl out ( this is the best part ... probably the only reason I make cakes ;) )
  8. Whilst the cake is cooking juice the lemons with a fork or a citrus juicer if you have more common sense that me :) sift the lemon juice to remove pips and pour into a microwavable mug ... you can do this in a pan over the hob but I find this is just quicker and easier :) add around 1 and a half to 2 table spoons of caster sugar to the lemon juice and microwave so that the sugar dissolves making a warm sweet-ish but still slightly sour lemon mixture :) If you think it's to sour just add more sugar because that's what I do :) If I'm honest I actually have no idea how much I used aha :)
  9. Take the cakes out of the oven when they are golden brown and springy to the touch. To see if they're cooked poke a clean knife through the middle if it comes out clean then the cakes cooked .. if not give it five more minutes and check again.
  10. When your cake is cooked and out of the oven poke lots of holes in your cake with a fork whilst it's still warm and then pour your hot lemon-sugar mixture over the cake . To finish it off sprinkle with a lil bit of sugar so it looks like a fairy's but magic dust on it and leave to cool.
ENJOY! :D

I served a slice of my cake ( I made a second cake for my mum as well as the one for my friends nan) with a glass of cloudy lemonade which I decorated with a slice of lemon and a yellow straw to in keep with the theme of lovely lemons and all there lemony goodness :)

So I hope you enjoy this recipe and let me know if you try it and how it goes :) because I was feeling lemony I thought I'd just finish this blog off with five facts about lemon's so that you can leave this pointless blog as entirely confuzzeld as you were when you clicked on it and found me talking about socks aha :)

  •  During the European Renaissance, fashionable ladies used lemon juice as a way to redden their lips.
  • The average lemon holds about three tablespoons of juice.
  •  Now I've got a surprise for you because it shocked me : lemons are technically berries (as are oranges, watermelons and tomatoes).
  • The average lemon has about eight seeds
  • There is a lemon festival in Mentone which is in France, that takes place in the spring. It’s been celebrating the yellow citrus fruit, so commonly found in the French Riviera, for close to a century.

Thank you for sticking around and reading about sheepish socks and lemony lemon recipe's I hope I made you smile once or twice and keeping In with today's theme we might as well have a lemon themed quote as well :)

" If Life gives you lemons, make grape juice and surprise the world "

I best be off then because it's nearly 1 am and neither of us have learnt anything significant .. apart from some random acts of kindness mean you get to eat cake mixture .. that's actually a pretty good incentive to do random acts of kindness aha :) But seriously if you see someone who's life isn't going particularly great right now , surprise them with a random act of kindness to lend them a smile just to keep them going ... It doesn't have to be big even just leave a nice note for them :) They will definitely appreciate kindness when they are in dark times <3

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)
You're going to do great if you ever get a pop quiz on lemons ;)

#100happydays: day 17 ( Let's talk dragons )

Good evening :)

Oh dear me, I'm very tired this is the second post I've written tonight as I didn't post yesterday so I decided to write two short one's today for fear of letting my not existent readers down haha ( If you actually do exist that's fantastic, thank you so much for reading my waffling each day .. It would shock me that an actual human being would aha but if you do I'm eternally grateful and you are an excellent human being ;) ) If you check out my #100happydays: day 16 then you will see the whole short blog thing ... well it didn't really work out but I just love chatting about things when I get passionate ... especially as I was getting passionate about passions the need to waffle for 1157 words was just to great ;) So I'm going to try again and keep this one actually short because it's late at night , I have school tomorrow and I've been busy all week so am shattered... and it's only Tuesday haha :) I'm sure some of you can relate .

So now on to actual today's #100happydays :) Firstly I'd just like to quickly mention that as my #100happydays are usually positivity blogs I'm going to start giving their blog titles in bracket's next to the usual 100happydays stuff :) I hope you don't mind these becoming my positivity part of the blog because as you can see from my late posting times; I do a lot of stuff after school so don't get to write till late however I am planning other blog posts not revolving around this but still happy stuff because who want's to be negative :) Now that's done I'm actually going to go on to actual today's #100happydays photo ( sorry about the way my mind works I'm aware it's confusing, I mean I've lived in this mind all my life and it still confuses me sometime :) I actually occasionally laugh at the thoughts in my head because there that stupid ... and look at that I'm waffling again, sorry ) Today's picture is an origami dragon . It's pretty common knowledge that I am in love with Carrie Hope Fletcher. Well recently she started making origami dragons and now she has a little fleet :) Which I think is so awesome... seriously I want a dragon fleet :D Carrie then answered all my dreams in one video where she teaches you step by step to make origami dragons :) You can find that here . I then read a blog post that I will link to that here :) This girl is also a hopeful ( one of Carrie's subscribers kind of but there's a lot more to it than that though , I might do a blog at some point about what it means to be hopeful  ) She went to Paris and made an origami dragon and left one in each restaurant she ate in :)  How awesome is that ?!? :D This has inspired me to learn how to make origami dragons and do the same . I just think it's a lovely little random act of kindness which is definitely worth doing :)

Additionally I found another fantastic use for origami dragons that yet another hopeful came up with in the hopeful forum :) You write something that's worrying, bothering or scaring you on the side of your origami paper that will not be showing and then turn this paper into a dragon . The idea is you can relax now knowing that this furious dragon is guarding your problems so they can't escape and get to you :) I think this is a really cute and nice idea especially on those nights when you can't sleep because your stressed so try it out and let me know how it goes :)

So the quote for today is about how your problem's can be controlled by you even if you can't completely solve them . React with positivity and optimism and your half way there  :)

“It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”

― Epictetus

So once again this post didn't really end up short and sweet but still I hope it wasn't t long and boring :)
Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)
Have a nice day and I hope you have lots of fun with origami dragons

#100happydays: day 13

Happy Friday 13th :)

13 is Taylor Swift's lucky number ... This isn't what I'm mean to be talking bout haha  :)

Today I had my last exam of the year woooo :D Now I can spend time procrastinating for hours without worrying about failing everything ;) Considering I just had a maths exam you'd think my head would be full of stuff about maths when actually I'm just dying to tell you this fact :

A Fear of tree's is called dendrophobia... I looked it up whilst re-watching the 3rd Lord of the Rings I'm not entirely sure what made it relevant ;) I just thought I'd let you know :)

It's pretty late now and I'm very excited because tomorrow I'm going to the Harry Potter studio's with my boyfriend an his family ... being me i am very very happy about this :) I love car journeys because I can just fit there and read in peace and quiet for hours. I'm hoping to either read One Million Lovely Letters by Jodi Ann Bickley or re-read The Fault in our Stars by John Green before the film comes out next week ... That's another thing i can't wait for :)

Today's #100happydays is a a picture of the field
as  shown in the above picture which I found covered in daisy's ... daisy chains make me extremely happy :) They're nice to look at, fun to make and i don't know they are simply pretty little things that make me smile  ... do they really need reasons to make me happy because if you always need a reason to be happy then it's quite likely you will have a few more moments when your not happy and why on earth would you want to waste moments when they're so precious :) Anyway's we sat on this field ( hence my friends feet being in the picture), made daisy chains, laughed with each other as we painted our nails and ate a picnic of strawberry laces :) I love picnics I might do a blog of my ideal picnic and try to make it happen as a surprise for my friends I think that would be a nice random act of kindness and we all know how I feel about those ;) My favourite moments are the one's where I laugh. Me and my boyfriend spent a large part of our evening watching YouTube video's and laughing uncontrollably at Danisnotonfire and Sprinkleofglitter whom's videos together left us struggling to breath in the most perfect way... because we were laughing to much with smiles that would remain imprinted on our faces for hours :) If you need a good laugh check out their Prank calls video I guarantee it will cheer you up no matter how you feel :) That's another idea I'd like to do for a blog; what to do when your sad with not just things to cheer you up but things to help sort out why you were sad :) Lets see if we can fix a few broken smiles eh :)

“Laughter is wine for the soul - laughter soft, or loud and deep, tinged through with seriousness - the hilarious declaration made by man that life is worth living.”
― Seán O'Casey

So please enjoy tomorrow as a new day and a new start and fill it with as much laughter as possible :) Try to find the good in the day because I know it's there .
Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)
I hope you have a truly wonderful day

#100happydays: day 11

Helloooo :)

Interesting fact ... well not that interesting if I'm being honest with you but its really cute :
Baby hedgehogs are called hoglets :D

I feel better now I've told someone that :) Now , on with the post . Today's #100happydays changed about ten minutes ago when I got a text from my friends saying "have a look in your bag" so I did ... I found an origami hearts just like the ones I frequently make with letters in an put in people's bags ... she'd done the same for me :) I don't mean just a note though, I mean a full on letter and it was beautiful and it meant so much to me :)

Hopeful notes are something I'm extremely passionate about as you would probably of guessed from the amount I talk/ waffle about them ;)
However when you know someone personally and you know they really aren't feeling great well perhaps you know them well enough to write them a  whole letter :) Letters aren't as commonly written nowadays with the ever increasing use of social media and mobile phones ( don't get me wrong I use them a lot and I think they're fabulous inventions) However I do love a good letter :) I think they're wonderful to receive and great to write ... I like to write mine with each paragraph in a different coloured pen , just to brighten it up ;) In addition too my love for letters and coloured pens I love stationary and projects ... you know those people who get annoying enthusiastic about a new project they've taken on. So they just dance around as the positivity of a new passion rains down on them , the good sort of rain where you can already see the rainbow before it stops because the sun's shining so bright ... yeah I'm one of them :) I've been to WHSmith's because you can't start a project without new stationary that's the rule right ? That better be the rule ... If it's not I've well umm consider it officially changed so that is the rule because seriously any chance for new stationary especially notebooks is like someone handing me a ticket to heaven .. I did warn you I was one of those ;) So firstly I'm going to try and write a letter to a friend once a week. Just one that looks like they need ; as Jodi Ann Bickley calls it " a hug in a envelope" .Secondly there is a fantastic website called PostPals that allows you to write to seriously ill children which you can find here : http://www.postpals.co.uk/
Imagine how much a surprise letter could brighten the day of an ill child or a sibling. It takes like ten minutes to write a letter. I'm always saying how we don't know how many minutes we have left but for a lot of these children they're pretty sure they have less minutes than us and I think it would be awesome if we could put a smile on their faces for some of those minutes :)

So let's try brighten some days :)

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)
I hope you have a lovely day and write letters enjoying some wonderful stationary ;)
