#100happydays: day 26 ( I'm in Love : One Million Lovely Letters )

Good evening :)

Tomorrow I'm leaving to go send the weekend at a festival that is organised by a youth group I'm in so this for once is actually going to be a short post when I say it is ;) I don't know what it is but the minute I write short post , it triggers a thousand different idea's in my head that are just desperate to be translated into words and weaved into some sort of morals within a blog that ends up being a 3000 word essay by the time I'm done ... I just love writing :) I mean I definitely don't have time to write hence why I write in my sleeping time but there is no denying that I love it unconditionally :)

Another woman who loves writing is one whom I have written about before in this blog; Jodi Ann Bickley :) If you want to read me explaining more about her and her project One Million lovely Letters , the you can  find that blog post here :) However today I would like to talk about her book of which I am about one third of the way through and it is quite honestly breathtaking . I'm not going to lie , usually I dislike reading auto biography's. I often get bored and they simply don't keep my attention but One Million Lovely Letters has captivated me in a way I  believe no book has ever done before. I was enthralled by the un-dying kindness of her mother and her words and use of language was enchanting . This is a truly inspirational book ... and I haven't even finished :) Frequently I disagree with the kindly short reviews of fellow writers and newspapers on the front cover of the book and feel they are over exaggerated to sell the book which is of course there overall purpose . However in One Million Lovely Letters I now realise that I couldn't agree more with Ed Sheeran when he states "It's a fantastic book, from a fantastic wordsmith. " I deeply recommend you read this book at the first chance you get and I sincerely hope you get as much out of it as I am :) Today's #100happydays picture is a picture of the book from my lunch hour which I spent reading it with a 7up which my friend bought me randomly which was really nice of him :) and my post it notes and a pen :) I actually started putting post it notes on the pages wherever Ms. Bickley really took my breath to the point where I was left wonder struck and had to stop for several minutes to process the utter compassion and awe I felt for what I had just read ... and just me this happened a lot you can barely read the book for post it notes aha ;)

Finally because of the festival that I spoke about at the beginning of this blog , I will not be able to post until sunday due to being in a field with no internet access and a lot of spiders :/ However I will write my blogs on paper and and I will probably do one big blog on Sunday with all three of those days #100happydays pictures in and a big long blog :)

#100happydays: day 15


Good afternoon :)
 
How are we all today?  :) I'm grand if anyone wondering in fact " I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up " :) you have no idea how desperate I was to quote that haha :) I've been re-reading The Fault in our Stars by John Green before the film comes out this week . I'm about half way through and actually finding it painful to continue reading whilst being aware of the tragedy I know awaits me, drawing closer and closer with every page I turn ... yet I can't turn them fast enough :) If anyone reading hasn't read it ... just go and read it I can't say anything that will make you love the book more that reading it :) You wont regret it .
 
Today's been nice I hope your today has also been nice because then you will be smiley and smiling's good :) I'm sure your beautiful when you smile ... well beautiful-er <3 cheesy but true . Wearing your smile whether your feeling it or forcing it ; smiling's proven to make you feel better and I guess if you smile at someone else whether it's a friend or a stranger they will quite likely smile back and then they will feel happier because they're smiling and BAM you've just set off a chain reaction of smiling and people feeling better , aren't you a fantastic human being ;) 17 muscles, one tiny movement , it's not that much effort but it could do so much  :) So a quick challenge, not even a challenge because it's so easy but worth while all the same : Smile at someone, anyone just let them know that you're happy and it's okay for them to be too :) I found a blog that seems pretty positive and I really enjoyed reading here if you have time you should definitely check it out :)

of smiling and happiness; My #100happydays today was kind of difficult to choose , there were lots of things but none of them are massive but little things make up big days :) In the end I chose a photo of a box of quotes a friend gave me at Christmas, she found them , wrote them out ( I'm mean like a hundred of them or something ridiculously sweet) , and gave them to me to keep me smiling.. I have to admit , I cried ( I know it's ironic) But happy tears I promise you ;) I have kept them and looked through them when I'm down. Today I decided my room needed brightening up so I stuck up a world map to remind me if things aren't always going so well here it doesn't even matter how bad it is because I have the rest of the world to explore , a lot more people to meet and so many more smile's to come...I think that's a important thing to remember :) I then found some blue tack and stuck all the quotes to my door to make it like a doorway of positivity :) I only got about a third the way down but I'm going to write up some more quotes and get to half the door and then I think I will find a positive poster to cover the bottom half :) If anyone knows any good quotes to use for this sort of thing then please feel free to comment them :)

If your having a bad day try making a box of positive quotes, it will distract you from the bad day and you will have something to turn to if you get another bad day :)
